The 990 is prepared by an independent cpa firm with assistance from the slg president and slg accountant who review the draft. The 990 draft is then reviewed by the slg treasurer. The slg treasurer sends the draft 990 to the board for their review, comments and questions.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The organization requires all officers and board members to disclose prior to each board meeting if they have a conflict of interest with any agenda item. In addition, each board member and employee annually complete and signs a conflict of interest representation. The slg president is responsible for reviewing the signed statements and ensuring that interested persons are in compliance with the conflict of interest policy. The chairman reviews the presidents conflict of interest representation. Should any potential conflicts of interest be disclosed, the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in any deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by therelationship.

The independent board approved the presidents compensation. The board chair and treasurer used comparability data from guidestar and also contacted select non profit organizations for input on compensation levels. The organization does not employ other officers.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4A

Program description continued the slg believes that leadership is defined by ones character and is based on a core set of timeless and transcendent virtues. Our programs include a fellows program, teams program, mentor certification program, and slg network. The slg fellows program develops virtuous, emotionally intelligent leaders who catalyze high-performing teams. Leaders across all industries come together to learn and practice the tenets of virtuous leadership. Slg certifies its mentors through the slg certified mentor program to walk alongside individual leaders called fellows in our fellows and teams program. The slg mentor is a friend who is willing to listen, challenge, and support the fellow, taking an active interest in their development personally and professionally. Mentor-fellow meetings took place in-person and/or online due to distance. Thirteen 13 new mentors were certified.we connect these like-minded leaders of character through our slg network. The slg network serves our fellows, mentors, volunteers, and staff with quality programming that supports the tenets of the slg to include leadership panels, guest speakers, master classes, workshops, and networking events. For 2024, seven in-person or hybrid events were provided, including workshops, book talks, leadership presentations, and network appreciation events.
