Mission

The mission of Leahs Hope is to empower women and families who are struggling and seeking a better life to change their life.

The mission of this organization is empowering families to change their future by providing housing ;and life skills classes.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Transitional Houeing: During 2020, Leah's Hope provided transitional housing for six families. This included six single mothers and ten children. Apartment rent and utilities were paid for each family. Each apartment was insured, including a rider for the grantee. Each apartment was furnished for the client, including a couch, coffee table, end tables, kitchen tavle and chairs, beds, night stands and dressers for each bedroom. All kitchen equipment was provided for each family, including a microwave, Dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and kitchen utensils were furnished as needed. The grantees were allowed to take the furniture and kitchen equipment when they completed the program.$100$33,584
Programming Classes: Classes were originally planned for the entire year, covering Boundaries, Managing FInances, and Life Skills classes. The Life Skill classes are provided to learn about abilities and behaviors that help all of us effectively deal with the events and challenges of everyday life. Everyday life, in the form of a pandemic shutdown and quarantine. Because of the need to avoid any group meetings and activities, the Programming Classes were modified to be individual study units. Each client was able to work at their own pace, beginning with the programs that would be most beneficial for them. The individual modules are reviewed with the grantee approximately once a week with the Case Manager. The expenses for this change were minimal as all programming materials had been purchased the previous year in anticipation of the scheduled classes. Although group meetings do play an integral part of the development of a successful family, the grantees were still able to progress to their goals of being able to transition to independent living. Because the group classes were discontinued, the program is limited to program grantees only,.$100$450
