“In 2018, its second full year of operation, the global urban history project continued its innaugural membership drive and a series of events entitiled "roundtables around the world" including presentations in sacramento, california, yokohama japan, and rome, italy. For the yokohama event, which consisted of fifteen co-sponsored panels at the meeting of the international planning history society, guhp began a signature program of travel awards for emerging and under-represented scholars who work in this field. After exceeding 325 members in the fall of 2018, the board launched the administrative apparatus allowing guhp to become a member supported organization beginning in january, 2019 and to hold its first two guhp- organized conferences.”
