Growthskills foundation exists to assist individuals, churches, and other groups to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to promote growth and healthy relationships which will improve how individuals live, love, work and relate.

Accomplish our mission by conducting personal & professional growth workshops during the year with monthly facilitated web-based meetings for workshop attendees. Also provide small group curriculum for churches.

The board of directors reviews and approves the form 990 and all pertinent schedules prior to filing with the internal revenue service.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

All real or apparent conflicts of interest shall be disclosed to the trustees and the executive director of the organization. Additionally the accounting staff shall make known to the executive director all vendors with whom the foundation transacted businsess with in the preceeding year and the executvie director shall review such list's for any potential conflicts of interest. The board of trustees shall be responsible for making all decisions concerning resolutions of conflicts involving directors and the ed. The ed shall be responsible for making all decisions concerning resolutions of conflicts involving employees. The applicable party may appeal a determination that an actual or apparent conflict of interest exists. The appeal must be directed to the chair of the board. Appeals must be made within 30 days of the initial determination. Resolution of the appeal shall be made by vote of the full board of trustees. Given the importance of resolving conflicts of interest, violations of this policy, including failure to disclose conflicts of interest, may result in termination of a trustee, director, ed, or employee (at the direction of the ed). Failure to comply with the standards contained in this policy will result in disciplinary action that may include termination, referral for criminal prosecution, and reimbursement to the organization or to the government, for any loss or damage resulting from the violation. As with all matters involving disciplinary action, principles of fairness will apply. Any employee charged with a violation of this policy will be afforded an opportunity to explain her/his actions before disciplinary action is taken.

The board relies on comparability data to determine and approve the compensation of the executive director. The board utilizes resources such as similary situated exempt organizations in their areas to benchmark pay along with market information from other exempt organizations and for- profit organizations to assess the competitiveness and reasonableness of the compensation. Once a decision has been made, a vote is taken for approval by the board. Recusal of the individuals whose compensation is being determined is mandatory. A similar process is in place for determining compensation of the other key employees, if any.
