Form 990, Part XI, Line 10

During the year ended december 31, 2017, west end house, inc. (weh) entered into a new markets tax credit (nmtc) financing arrangement for the renovation and expansion of its building. In connection with this financing weh formed west end house support, inc. (wehs) to operate exclusively for the benefit of the weh and sold it's building to wehs as part of the (nmtc) financing. The building renovation was completed in june 2018 and placed into service. When the building renovation was placed into service, a loss of $3,506,761 (reported on form 990, part viii, line 7b(ii)) was recognized related to the disposal of previously capitalized renovation costs. Wehs will continue to have a negative net asset or fund balance positon for noncash expenditures of depreciation and amortization of deferred financing costs until the nmtc financing concludes in march 2023.

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization accounts for uncertainty in income taxes in accordance with asc topic, income taxes. This standard clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in tax positions and prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statements regarding a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The organization has determined that there are no uncertain tax positions which qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements at december 31, 2019 and 2018. The organization's tax returns are subject to examination by the federal and state jurisdictions. With few exceptions, the organization is no longer subject to income tax examinations by the united states federal, state, or local tax authorities for the three years from the filing date.
