“Reconnectrondo (rcr) mission is the realization of a rondo land bridge (rlb) to reconnect communities proximate to i-94 in the rondo neighborhood of saint paul. Rcr is a community development organization established to maximize opportunities for business, economic and social development. Rcr's goal is to persuasively shape policy for the rlb to create opportunities that uplift the public health, economic, housing, and social conditions of the rondo communities.”

“Physical landmark of the history of the rondo community and a vision for the future. Increased the number of communities in the rondo land bridge project (rlb) in 2018, rcr expanded its normal outreach and community engagement efforts through partnerships with rondo avenue inc (rai) and rondo commemorative plaza (rcp), a physical landmark that accurately presents the history of the rondo community, past and present with an exhibit wall that ends with reconnect rondo's land bridge project. Located in the heart of the old neighborhood, the rcp has repurposed a vacant lot to a place where visitor learn how much the city of saint paul, the state of minnesota and the nation have improved, changed, challenged and where made better by the african-american experience of rondo. Access to on site technology offers links to project partners, collaborators and state agencies, local and historical groups that are working to build cross-cultural connections among old and new residents to promote economic, housing, educational, employment and environmental health of rondo and near communities. Increase the number of reconnectrondo's committees and advisory groups by involved community stakeholders rcr's database expanded 300% with numerous community engagement meetings and focused discussions with rondo residents and surrounding neighborhood organizations and residents interacting together with rcr. We engaged private, community and neighborhood leaders, as well as grass roots community and neighborhood residents. As a result of these events, the ecodistricts 2018 conference allowed rcr to launch and roll-out the rondo land bridge project advisory group with assigned city commissioners, agency partners, and the feasibility study and program management group. Increasing number of people, organizations that were included, invited, and made aware about the reconnectrondo land bridge project. Rcr's work to this end, has included targeted outreach to arts organizations, local schools, faith institutions, and small businesses, as well as other key regional and national organizations through both the uli advisory services panel (asp) process, and the ecodistricts 2018 conference which culminated in the following recommendations.
