DescriptionGrantsExpenses
18+ Boys Transition Home - Restore17 opened a transition home, Casa Esperanza (House of Hope). In Casa Esperanza, the boys receive the care and skill set needed to become independent adults. The young men are welcomed into a safe environment as they navigate adulthood. Our house parents and staff empower the young men through education and job training. At Casa Esperanza, dignity is restored as we nurture emotional and physical needs and provide gospel-centered discipleship. Our young men become members of a family and a larger community. Live full-time in a family-based model transition home with full-time house parents Learn life skills for independent living (cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, saving money, etc.) Complete high School and continue higher education at a University or through trade school. Receive tutoring services as needed Receive counseling services in efforts to overcome past trauma Participate in small discipleship groups and attend church with house parents or staff.$17,482$50,958
Orphan Advocacy - Restore17 has been given the unique opportunity to partner with 2 government-run orphanages in Ecuador that are home to 50+ kids. We have established a mentoring/advocacy program in each orphanage to empower and equip the kids and provide them with the support they desperately need. We have found that a childs vulnerability to trafficking and gang-related activity is greatly reduced by the consistent presence of a caring adult supporting and guiding them. Spiritual: We believe that each childs deepest need is a relationship with Jesus. We provide weekly Christ-centered Bible studies. Children receive their own personal Bible and study materials. Physical: We believe we cannot serve spiritually without meeting physical needs as well. We provide hygiene items, nutritious meals, medication and healthcare as needed. We provide food, hygiene items, medication, and cleaning items as needed. Emotional: We provide a loving mentor and advocate who fosters relationships and is always available for emotional support. Educational: We empower the child in these homes through tutoring, homework assistance, and technical training. Recreational: We provide fun outings, weekend vacations and a monthly birthday celebration for the kids in the orphanages. These moments allow the kids to simply have fun and be seen.$20,889$40,176
Family Preservation - We aim to break the cycle of generational poverty and support families so that they never depend on institutionalized care for their children due to poverty. Every family is unique and the process of reuniting and supporting families is very relational in order to create the best plan of action for each family. Once families are reunited, we help provide for physical, emotional, and spiritual needs various ways. We do monthly home visits with local families and/or phone calls to ensure ongoing support, family guidance, and assess needs. We have assisted families with financial resources to create or sustain a family business to ensure the family has a reliable source of income. We provide food, hygiene items, medication, and cleaning items as needed. We aim to connect families with a local church, counseling services, and other community resources, as needed. We provide resources so that a reunited child can continue to receive an education. This can be purchasing a required school uniform, supplies, or tuition expenses. We open our transition home as needed for tutoring and to have the technology available to reunited children.$6,545$29,912
