“Defending federal prisoners - we provide a no-cost legal services to prisoners serving unjust life sentences. We surpassed an important organizational milestone and won freedom for our 45th client sentenced to life for drugs.disrupting reentry obstacles - we provide reentry support so that our clients successfully reenter their communities with economic self-sufficiency. In 2021, we connected more than ten clients to reentry job counselors, provided them free financial literacy services, and assisted them with obtaining housing following displacement.advocating for justice - as part of the advocacy work necessary to free our clients, we engage in education campaigns to spread public awareness of inhumane sentencing and the urgent need for repair of our criminal justice system.”
