INVASIVE SPECIES WERE TREATED FOR THREE SEASONS, AND NATIVE TREES AND SHRUBS WERE PLANTED. AURORA MILLS GREENSPACE WITHIN THE CITY OF AURORA IS A PROJECT IN ITS EARLY PHASES OF IMPLEMENTATION. CONTRACTORS HAVE CLEARED INVASIVE PLANTS FOR TWO SEASONS AND WILL BEGIN PLANTING IN FALL OF 2020.-$32,366
MONITORING - PESTICIDE STEWARDSHIP PARTNERSHIP - ODA AND DEQ PROVIDE FUNDING FOR PRWC TO MONITOR PESTICIDES IN ABIQUA, BUTTE, ZOLLNER AND THE MAINSTEM OF THE PUDDING RIVERS. Monitoring - pesticide stewardship partnership - oda and deq provide funding for prwc to monitor pesticides in abiqua, butte, zollner and the mainstem of the pudding rivers. The goal is the voluntary reduction of surface water pesticide detections. The objective is to work within the community to promote best management practices that reduce pesticide migration into area streams.

Habitat restoration - lower silver creek riparian restoration project with the city of silverton restored 2.5 acres of floodplain forest. Invasive species were treated for three seasons, and native trees and shrubs were planted. Aurora mills greenspace within the city of aurora is a project in its early phases of implementation. Contractors have cleared invasive plants for two seasons and will begin planting in fall of 2020.

Community engagement - the prwc 2020 annual outreach was held at the evergreen golf course in mt. Angel. Approximately 75 people attended a presentation about salmon safe certified hops by a local grower, gayle goschie. Osu extension specialist, derek godwin presented borad watershed stewarship information. The prwc hosted oregon youth conservation corps for work experience days during the summer. The youth learned about invasive plants and toured the silverton wasteater treatment facility. Prwc continues to distribute free trees to local landowners. 3,500 trees have been distributed in the past two years.

OSU EXTENSION SPECIALIST, DEREK GODWIN PRESENTED BORAD WATERSHED STEWARSHIP INFORMATION. THE PRWC HOSTED OREGON YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS FOR WORK EXPERIENCE DAYS DURING THE SUMMER. THE YOUTH LEARNED ABOUT INVASIVE PLANTS AND TOURED THE SILVERTON WASTEATER TREATMENT FACILITY. PRWC CONTINUES TO DISTRIBUTE FREE TREES TO LOCAL LANDOWNERS. 3,500 TREES HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED IN THE PAST TWO YEARS.
