Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To advance the art and science of seeing old things in new ways through research and development, exploring the potential of computation and story telling to enable and support independent investigation. To accomplish this, we have set up a new high school in somerville under the massachusetts innovation school legislation. The mission of this school is to support young people in their transition from students (largely passive recipients of information) into independent investigators. This high school will offer us sandbox and context to develop the tools, materials, and programs which sit at the core of our mission, powering our educational, research, and design work.
