“Maven leadership collective is a leadership development institute that inspires inclusion and access for queer social entrepreneurs and community advocates of color and our allies in south florida. We activate individual and institutional capacity building by offering educational opportunities, promoting self-care, and providing technical assistance that nurture skill development, facilitate informed dialogue, and support meaningful action in order to make our community more just, productive and vibrant.”

“Founded in 2016, maven leadership is the only organization operating in south and central florida that is singularly focused on centering queer and trans social impact leaders of color in a professional development. Maven leadership collective continued to bring equity to social entrepreneurship by conducting community initiatives that promote a culture of diversity and belonging. We increased our reach to more than 600 of participants in 2019. We doubled the number of participants in our annual convening of social impact leaders, maven rising. Our signature program, maven leadership cohort, conducted its third cohort in south florida and the second cohort in central florida. Graduates of the cohort program directly impact more than 90,000 people annually. Maven conducted trainings in los angeles and detroit. Maven was voted into the one orlando alliance, a coalition of 40+ organizations dedicated to empowering the queer community. We added a meditation series to our existing yoga-based wellness initiative and implemented community dialogues with partner organizations. All initiatives continue to be offered at no charge to our participants.”
