IRS990/Desc0Ministry on the Margins began operations in 2016 to foster charitable works in accord with the objectives and teachings of the Catholic Church and the Benedictine Order. Our charitable works performed for 2022 include the following:Food Pantry: We offer a food pantry to our clients that distributes basic food items to those in need. In 2022, we served 19,769 individuals. A total of 211,265 pounds of food was given out by 1,671 volunteers who worked 4,188 hours. Assistance to Individuals / Program Expenses: Assistance to individuals is largely comprised of emergency sheltering for homeless individuals when no other services are available due to COVID, family situation, criminal record, etc.Prison Reentry: Provide informal group & individual mentoring services during transition from prison to society. This may include phone/phone cards, clothing, food, personal needs & transportation on an as needed basis. Additionally, during 2022, MOTM offered Free Thru Recovery and Community Connect services and served just under 80 individuals through these State of North Dakota programs.
