The pandemic forced us to shift its garden education programs online. We used our blog and social media to share gardening information. Online adult programs reached about 100 people with online workshops and encouraging people to grow tomatoes with the Tomato Challenge. Our summer and afterschool programs became virtual, too, with weekly story times. We also created 15 weeks of activity kits and delivered them to more than 100 children in the summer and fall. Combined with online lessons, the kits contained all the materials needed to make a healthy snack or craft project connected to gardening.$0$2,553
Delivered 1200 lbs of produce to food pantry partners. To increase food security in our region, we also donated more than 1000 vegetable plants to community, church and backyard gardens. Because the pandemic shut down all in person programs on the farm from March through November, we logged about 150 volunteer hours.$0$394
In early 2020, we made updates to the farm to improve wheelchair accessibility and taught about 30 students from the Therapeutic Recreation Center before the pandemic closed that program down. In February, we hosted our second seed swap that brought more than 100 people to the farm to meet other gardeners and share seeds. The pandemic closed schools in March resulting in no Good Food Day field trips.$0$137
