Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The name "Carry It Forward" is meant to highlight the mutual benefits ofdirect service to our unhoused neighbors. Our work is designed to reducesuffering by meeting basic human needs while developing a sustainable modelfor incorporating unhoused individuals in the work of helping themselvesand the community. Our goal is to bridge gaps in service and build networksthat allow our community to grow stronger for all of us.

Carry It Forward is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to reducing suffering and ending homelessness in Lane County. Our approach is harm-reduction, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. We primarily serve individual adults and couples, through venues and projects, including shelters, camps, and outreach services.
