“Compass Project is a dynamic program designed to provide free virtual academic coaching for students from 8th grade through their first 2 years of college. Our dedicated coaches offer personalized support, helping students navigate their academic challenges and reach their full potential. This unique blend of mentorship and academic assistance ensures that participants stay on track with their studies and gain valuable skills for their educational journey. Compass Project offers monthly outdoor trips where participants can connect with their peers and tackle various challenges on the trails. These adventures are not just about physical activity; they are designed to build teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills. By combining academic support with outdoor experiences, Compass Project fosters a well-rounded development for every student involved. North Star Project is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of youth through comprehensive counseling services. Our licensed social worker provides one-on-one counseling sessions, both in person and virtually, ensuring that each participant receives the personalized care and attention they need. These sessions are designed to help youth navigate life's challenges, build coping strategies, and improve their overall mental health. In addition to counseling, North Star Project offers monthly hiking trips focused on mindfulness. These trips provide participants with the opportunity to connect with nature, practice mindfulness techniques, and find peace in the outdoors. By combining mental health support with mindful outdoor experiences, North Star Project fosters emotional resilience and well-being, helping youth thrive in all aspects of their lives.”
