Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To increase the capacity as well as the long-term viability and visibility of pikes peak regional nonprofits, especially those that are relatively small and innovative; that empower citizens; and/or do not participate in other end-of-year fundraising campaigns. To provide a pikes peak region-centric philanthropic platform that makes giving back to our community easy, enjoyable and effective. To provide participating non-profits with valuable training, media exposure, volunteers, board development and much-needed financial support. To encourage locals who do not currently support pikes peak region nonprofits to start donating money and time, with particular emphasis on catalyzing those in their 20s and 30s to give back; to educate el paso and teller county residents -- and especially the 200,000 locals who read the independent and associated newsweeklies -- about the vital work undertaken by relatively small, innovative 77666 nonprofits operating in and for our community.
