Schedule O:

01. Description of other expenses (Part I, Line 16); Description: Amount; Education Program Expenses: $1,206; Counseling Program Expenses: $1,758; Financial Program Expenses (includes Harley-Grey Project): $14,586; Office Expenses (membership subscriptions, fees and registrations, office supplies, and administrative fees): $335; Information Technology (email, web hosting, software, and apps): $193; Conferences and Meetings (materials and supplies, includes volunteer appreciation): $92; Grand Total: $18, 170; 02. Program Accomplishments (Part III, Lines 28-30); Education Program: Educational workshops are offered for free or a small, suggested donation to residents living in Colorado communities (and beyond when hosting all or in part virtually). The workshops consist of understanding companion animal cancer, health topics, treatment options, pet insurance options, healthy living for the human and his/her companion animal, and more. The workshops are offered through collaborations with community partners willing to share their expertise to honor the human-animal connection. Educational resources are also offered individually via email upon request.; Counseling Program: There are two main components to this program: grief counseling and compassion fatigue counseling in individual and group settings. Families can discuss their thoughts and fears in a safe place void of judgement and are given tools to practice self-care while working through a cancer diagnosis, treatment(s), and hopefully remission. If talk therapy is not desired, activity-based workshops are offered to small groups of people that have or had companion animals with cancer and connects them with others enduring similar life events. KarmaSue acts as advocates, not professionals, who simply empathize. Should professional services be needed/requested, the organization will work with the family to locate resources; Financial Support Program: This program supports families with the expenses associated with a cancer diagnosis. KarmaSue assists with the costs related to companion animal cancer treatments, medication, euthanasia (through the Harley-Grey Project), and more on a case-by-case basis to honor the human-animal connection. An application is provided upon inquiry and discussion; partial/full funding is dependent upon the budget and resources available at the time of request. If approved, funds are sent to the veterinary clinic/business providing the service.
