“Forward Through Ferguson was incorporated in the State of Missouri on December 29, 2015. The Department of the Treasury approved our tax exemption status as 501 (c) (3) organization on May 9, 2017 with an effective date of December 29, 2015. Accordingly, during our first full year of operations given Forward Through Ferguson was not officially recognized as a charitable organization in 2016, we entered into a fiscal sponsor relationship with the United Way of Greater St. Louis Inc. The United Way of Greater St. Louis Inc managed the finances of our programs and other initiatives on their books during 2016. Any revenues or offsetting expenses are included in the financial statement and 990 of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, Inc. Effective January 1, 2017 our relations with the United Way of Greater St. Louis, Inc evolved to that of a fiscal sponsor to that of a fiscal agent.”

“Nicole Hudson was a contractor for the first four months of 2016. In May 2016, she accepted full-time employment as the Lead Catalyst for FTF and was primarily responsible for the daily operations of the organization. Her wages and related payroll taxes and that of another employee were paid by the United Way of Greater St. Louis, Inc and reported on their financial statements and federal 990. However these wages were reported on FTF's 941 under employer identification number 81-1359671.”
