Artistyear, a national service americorps program, is a proven highdosage, evidencebased, inschool intervention designed to expand arts opportunities for students and communities via a resident teaching artist corps.

To address the arts education gap by ensuring that every underserved student in america has arts education by developing, supporting, and placing exceptional fellows as full-time teaching artists at low-income schools.

Information necessary to prepare the form 990 is provided by the foundation to wipfli, llp. The form 990, as prepared by wipfli, llp, including the responses to questions, are reviewed for accuracy by the foundation's executive director, board chair, board president, board treasurer and audit committee chair prior to submission to the irs.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The board and staff review the conflict of interest policy annually and are asked to complete and sign a form either revealing relationships that may indicate a conflict of interest and/or signing off indicating that there are no conflicts of interest. Throughout the year, staff will report any potential conflicts of interest to the executive director before proceeding with an entity that may be perceived as a conflict of interest. If a conflict of interest is reported, the individual will recuse themself from deliberations regarding that conflict.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15A

The role of executive director of the foundation is that of a full-time employee who would receive compensation after the total amount of such compensation has been determined to be fair and reasonable by an independent committee of the board of directors. The committee, before compensation is paid to the executive director, reviews the performance of the executive director in light of the assigned job responsibilities and reviews his/her total compensation in comparison to the total compensation of individuals having similar responsibilities in other organizations, comparable to eyp and determines that the total compensation of the individual is reasonable in amount for the services rendered.

THESE FELLOWS CREATED 48 VIRTUAL/OST ARTS CLUBS, LED THEIR STUDENTS IN 63 VIRTUAL COMMUNITY ARTS EVENTS, AND RAISED $8,005 FOR ARTS PROGRAMS IN THEIR TITLE I SCHOOLS. ARTISTYEAR'S SERVICE PROVISION DURING SCHOOL YEAR 2020-2021 IN RURAL NORTH CAROLINA'S MOORE AND LEE COUNTIES WAS A NEW ACTIVITY. COLLECTIVELY, EIGHT ARTISTYEAR AMERICORPS FELLOWS DELIVERED 13,600 HOURS OF ARTS EDUCATION TO 1,922 K-12 STUDENTS (VIRTUALLY, HYBRID, AND IN-PERSON) IN THESE COUNTIES. FOR 38% OF THE STUDENTS, ARTISTYEAR PROGRAMMING WAS THE ONLY ARTS LEARNING THEY RECEIVED THAT SCHOOL YEAR. FOUNDED AS A VIRTUAL ORGANIZATION, ARTISTYEAR WAS ABLE TO ADAPT IN RECORD TIME TO COVID-19 SCHOOL CLOSURES THROUGH 2020-2021, CREATING A FULLY VIRTUAL MODEL OF SERVICE PROVISION CALLED ACCESS. WORKING VIA THE ACCESS MODEL, SIX (6) FELLOWS PROVIDED 344 VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS AT 81 OF OUR DISTRICT PARTNER SCHOOLS WITH 6,092 STUDENTS ATTENDING. NOT ONLY DID FELLOWS CONTINUE WITH DIRECT SERVICE FOR ARTISTYEAR STUDENTS, BUT, COLLECTIVELY, THEY ALSO PRODUCED OVER 100 HIGH-QUALITY, SEQUENTIAL ARTS EDUCATION VIDEO PROGRAMS FEATURED ON YOUTUBE KIDS, GOOGLE'S EDUCATION APP FOR U.S. CHILDREN. DURING THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR, 540,509 CHILDREN WATCHED THE ARTISTYEAR ART MAKING AND LEARNING LESSONS, DEMOCRATIZING ACCESS TO ARTS LEARNING DURING THIS TIME OF ISOLATION.
