Mission
Secure the village provides information security and privacy education, support and advocacy to business leaders, residents, and others through events and our website. To accomplish this, we organize the professional information security community and collaborate with other cybersecurity nonprofits. We also participate in information security educational events of other organizations.

| BUSINESS PROGRAM: OUR PROGRAM FOR SMALLER BUSINESSES AND NONPROFITS (THE REASONABLE CYBERSECURITY LAB) IS A 12-MONTH LEARN-BY-DOING LEARN-TOGETHER COHORT PROGRAM. THE FIVE COHORT MEMBERS MEET MONTHLY TO COMPLETE THE CYBER READINESS PROGRAM OF THE CYBER READINESS INSTITUTE (CRI) AND THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY (NIST) CYBER SECURITY FRAMEWORK SMALL BUSINESS GUIDE. THESE INCLUDED PROGRAMS FOR UCLA, THE SANTA MONICA ROTARY CLUB, CYBER WYOMING, THE CA DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL PROTECTION AND INNOVATION, THE WEALTH GARDEN, AND THE OFFICIAL CYBER SECURITY SUMMIT. TOTAL ATTENDANCE AT THESE EVENTS EXCEEDED 750.
