IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0ACCOMPLISHMENTS: In collaboration with Hebrew College and other experts, we created innovative resources to welcome and integrate foster and adopted children and their families in our communities by highlighting existing cultural themes of adoption, and by exploring the relevant traditions and stories that touch on the many adoption subtexts such as loss and belonging. OBJECTIVES: Educational resources work on two levels: 1) so that adoption and fostering is a highlighted communal value and 2) adopted children and their families see themselves and their experiences reflected in the shared cultural identity. VOLUNTEERS: Jewish rabbis and educational and psychological consultants provided their expertise ($8,170).
