These lab experiments provided students with the opportunity to connect a behavior to a gene variant that has been identified to exert a strong influence over the behavioral trait. Project: MAKING a difference in the libraryThis project provided programming resources and equipment to create a makerspace area in the Middle School library to promote STEM activities and initiatives across the building. The goal of the space is to promote innovation, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through project based learning in the educational hub of the building.Project: Padcaster -Morning announcements and beyondThis project provided equipment to facilitate student directed morning announcements at a K-5 elementary school. Students work together to plan, develope write, edit, film and report the morning announcements under the supervision of a teacher. As students become more familiar with the tools and video production process teacher involvement will wane Project:Entrance of SIGnificance (STEM Interactive Gallery)This project allowed for creation of a STREAM based entryway for the Middle School. It is designed to resemble an interactive educational exhibit at a science museum, using carefully selected visually stimulating pieces of framed art ranging from all areas of STREAM. Each art piece contains a QR code linked to a TED-Ed animation to encourage and promote discovery about scientific and technological events. Project:FR Panther Shop Mobile KioskThe mobile kiosk project is an extension of the original grant that awarded in January 2017. It provides students in the Life Skills Support classroom with more opportunities to develop transferable work skills for greater independence in the community. This helps students work a variety of events within the district. (Ex: parent events, sporting events, Panther Foundation events, etc.).”

“PART III - ORGANIZATIONS PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE: The mission of the Franklin Regional Panther Foundation is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty, and staff with community involvement in a partnership of lifetime learning in academic arts and athletics. PART III - LINE 28 - STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS - The Foundations 2019-20 operations were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic and mandated shutdowns in the spring of 2020. The Foundation planned three major fundraising events, its annual Golf Outing, a Dancing with the Stars like event featuring popular Franklin Regional School District staff and professional dancers, and a 5K walk/run and wellness fair. Unfortunately, all three events were cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, the Foundation awarded five innovation grants to the Franklin Regional District staff to help fund innovative instructional ideas and initiatives.”
