Nmcdc reported a loss of $673,028 on the sale of 7 low income housing units in 2019. All of these were part of the lee gordon place project. This project took 5 years from the date of the original donation of the property to nmcdc. The donation of the land ($225,000) and construction grants of $894,231 were recorded as income in the years received. Nmcdc netted $446,203 0n this project.

THE HOMESTEAD IS ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. VARIOUS ACTIVITIES AT THE HOMESTEAD BROUGHT APPROXIMATELY 2,100 VISITORS TO THE AREA IN 2019WESTSIDE PLAYGROUND. IN 1998 NMCDC RAISED FUNDS TO CONSTRUCT A PLAYGROUND IN WESTSIDE PARK NEXT TO LOWELL SCHOOL. IN 2015 NMCDC CONTRIBUTED $2,519 TO PLAYGROUND MAINTENANCE. IN 2018 NMCDC CLOSED OUT THE MAINTENANCE FUND FOR WESTSIDE PARK BY TRANSFERRING $4,500 TO MISSOULA PARKS AND RECREATION. IN 2018, AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE FACILITY'S ORIGINAL ARCHITECT, THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT CONCLUDED THAT THE WESTSIDE PARK HAD OUTLIVED ITS LIFESPAN AND WAS DUE FOR MAJOR REPAIRS AND/OR REPLACEMENTS. NMCDC HAS SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MISSOULA TO BE A NONPROFIT FISCAL SPONSOR TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR THIS MULTI-YEAR ENDEAVOR.ADDITIONALLY, NMCDC IS VURRENTLY WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SEVERAL OTHER AGENCIES, INCLUDING THE MISSOULA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK, FIRST NATIONS INDIAN HEALTH CENTER, AND THE MISSOULA INTERFAITH COLLABORATIVE TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS SOCIAL INEQUITIES THAT IMPACT COMMUNITY MEMBERS' HEALTH.
