Hooves with Heart

Who we are:we are a farm-based, non-profit learning center located in bothell, washington. Our program offers experiential activities designed to foster learning and strengthen life skills in underserved youth in the puget sound region. Young people learn through their participation in "hands-on" activities led by our professional educators. These experiences are conducted on the farm, often with animal partners. Some of these animal partners have suffered abuse or neglect, not dissimilar to the experiences of many of our participants. Direct exposure to this nature-rich environment is ideal for self-discovery. It also provides learning challenged youth with an alternative to the conventional class room environment. We seek sustainable change by teaching students what they need to be successful individually, as well as in their family and community. Our essential tenets are leadership, communication, compassion, respect and responsibility.
