| Program Title: Young Fathers Work Hard: Strategies for Success NewYoungFathers.com delivered its flagship workforce and life stabilization program serving over 100 teen and young fathers under age 25 annually through quarterly five-part cohorts. The program provides structured training in parenting skills financial literacy and workforce development with a strong emphasis on technology certifications and skilled trades that lead to living-wage employment. Participants received hands-on instruction in resume building interview preparation budgeting credit improvement and responsible co-parenting equipping them to stabilize their personal and family lives. The program also addressed critical barriers such as navigating child support systems employment readiness and decision-making skills.As a result of participation over 90% of participants reported gaining practical life skills they can immediately apply over 80% improved their parenting knowledge and a significant number advanced toward employment or certification pathways. This program directly strengthens families by increasing fathers capacity to provide emotional and financial support contributing to healthier households and more stable communities. In 2025 we were not able to reach our fundraising goal but we provided our programing with excellence and dedication to the young families in the community. The program delivered a structured multi-week curriculum centered on three core pillars: parenting development personal growth and career advancement. Participants received targeted instruction in financial literacy workforce readiness and responsible fatherhood while also gaining tools to navigate complex systems such as child support and employment pathways. This comprehensive approach directly addressed key social determinants of health identified in the Kent County Community Health Needs Assessment including economic stability housing security access to healthcare and mental health. Program outcomes in 2025 reflect strong participant engagement and effectiveness. Eighty-one percent 81% of participants reported that the Young Fathers Code provided a positive standard for fatherhood reinforcing accountability and long-term personal development. Ninety-one percent 91% of participants indicated they gained practical skills they could immediately apply to improve their lives including budgeting employment readiness and decision-making. Additionally 91% reported increased confidence in navigating the child support system a critical factor in reducing legal and financial stressors. The program also yielded significant gains in parenting capacity with 80% of participants reporting improved parenting skills and knowledge. Notably 87.5% of participants identified a need for continued support in parenting career development and housing stability underscoring both the programs relevance and the ongoing demand for these services. In 2025 NewYoungFathers.coms flagship program Young Fathers Work Hard: Strategies for Success demonstrated measurable impact in stabilizing the lives of teen and young fathers and strengthening families in Michigan. The program served over 100 young fathers annually primarily under the age of 25 with a focus on those residing in under-resourced communities. The program delivered a structured multi-week curriculum centered on three core pillars: parenting development personal growth and career advancement. Participants received targeted instruction in financial literacy workforce readiness and responsible fatherhood while also gaining tools to navigate complex systems such as child support and employment pathways. This comprehensive approach directly addressed key social determinants of health identified in the Kent County Community Health Needs Assessment including economic stability housing security access to healthcare and mental health. Program outcomes in 2025 reflect strong participant engagement and effectiveness. Eighty-one percent 81% of participants reported that the Young Fathers Code provided a positive standard for fatherhood reinforcing accountability and long-term personal development. Ninety-one percent 91% of participants indicated they gained practical skills they could immediately apply to improve their lives including budgeting employment readiness and decision-making. Additionally 91% reported increased confidence in navigating the child support system a critical factor in reducing legal and financial stressors. The program also yielded significant gains in parenting capacity with 80% of participants reporting improved parenting skills and knowledge. Notably 87.5% of participants identified a need for continued support in parenting career development and housing stability underscoring both the programs relevance and the ongoing demand for these services. By combining culturally relevant engagement strategies with practical life skills training NewYoungFathers.com has created a results-driven model that empowers young fathers to become consistent providers responsible parents and active community members. These outcomes contribute to stronger family units reduced economic hardship and improved community well-being. |
