“MISSION: Beacon Arts builds community by creating inclusive and accessible opportunities for artists and audiences in the Beacon hill Neighborhood of Seattle, Washington by activating underutilized public space with relevant cultural events, reflective of our diverse community. ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Beacon Arts Street Fairs - Celebrates the achievements, resources and talents of our neighbors. Beginning in May, this monthly open air gathering offers a safe outdoor opportunity for all neighbors to connect with each other with multiple community groups to make local connections. Fair Dates are second Saturdays May 11th, June 8th, July 13th, Aug 10th, Sept 14th; 10am-4pm on Roberto Maestas Festival Street.Beacon Hill Garden Club - Shares free seeds and plants with the public at street fairs. They also organize gardening events and share knowledge with members and the public year round.South End Public Market - The Sound End Public Market is a pop up market showcasing artists, artisans and performers who call the South End Home. The market is located at different locations throughout Beacon Hill/South Seattle. We encourage our neighbors to get to know and shop from your local creatives to keep our community strong.Beacon Arts Concerts - Organizes the entertainment at the Street fairs and Presents Jefferson Jumpstart concerts in Jefferson Park Amphitheater July 18, 25, Aug 1 & 8.
