Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

The off broadway theatre was able to help a few interns in high school to achieve their goals to learn and give time spent at a theatre to develop skills needed in their field of study. We produced seven plays, which ran six weeks each and performed laughing stock improv every weekend year round. Four new plays were produced at our theatre this year. The off broadway theatre was part of new-years-eve celebration, "eve", for downtown salt lake, in which we performed a total of 11 performances in three days at a discounted rate. This activity involved audiences from the general public celebrating the new year and helped to build a community tie to fun clean family entertainment. The obt provided over 30 free performances for charities such as hope kids, salvation army, big brothers big sisters, freedom landon services for vets, early light academy, eva carlson academy, literacy action center, odyssey house, & youth services, among many others. We have also been able to donate passes and gift certificates to many charities for their silent auction functions. The off broadway theatre was able to have our award winning improv troupe, laughing stock go to camp hobe in june of 2013 for the yearly free improv performance provided to children with cancer in a safe environment for them and their families. We also helped provide free & discounted improvisation classes to people who want to develop associated skills to use in their personal lives, as well as in their work, to help improve self esteem and confidence, and to roll with things even when they go south.
