“The organization hosted the sixth annual "hungry for hope" conference at deer run retreat, thompson's station, tn. There were 115 participants at the conference, the first time it was held in tn. The conference activities, lectures, peer-to-peer discussions, as well as clinical sessions for licensed clinicians all centered on assisting individuals with eating disorders, body image issues, education related to healthy eating, recovery issues, and anti-obesity. Approximately 20% of the participants were returning from prior years with 80% participation from first time attendees.”

“The organization began a new program in 2013 originally titled "recover holiday freedom" now titled "lasting freedom" which provides subscribers an initial one on one consultation with a member of our staff to establish needs/goals, along with three assessments (anxiety, depression scale testing and eating attitudes); weekly topical webinars led by experts, authors & other guests; and small group peer-to peer discussions, all with a web-based technology that has garnered a global participation in the program. The group lasts 6 weeks and at the end of a session, the same three assessments are conducted as well as another one-on-one consultation. Participants are finding a 30% decrease in anxiety, 21% decrease in depression, and 26% decrease in unhealthy eating patterns over the course of 6 weeks.”

“"lasting freedom" began in 2013 initially as recover holiday freedom. "lasting freedom" is a six week small group online subscription that provides a weekly webinar, online group discussions and peer to peer encouragement to eat well and live free.”

“The bylaws were changed to provide for removing board members who miss two meetings in a calendar year or who do not contribute financially. They may be reinstated by a 2/3 vote of the board. The purpose of the organization has been changed from "providing practical christ-centered resources to help pepople live healthy, balanced lives, free from eating and body image issues" to "be the leading christian resource providing daily help and encouragement to help people eat well and live free from eating and body image issues."”
