SECOND, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES HOUSING COORDINATION SERVICES WHICH ASSISTS CLIENTS IN GAINING ACCESS TO HOUSING. THIRD, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RESIDENT COORDINATION SERVICES WHICH SUPPORTS RESIDENTS WHO HAVE SECURED HOUSING IN PARTNER PROPERTIES TO MAINTAIN STABLE HOUSING.HOUSING DEVELOPMENT SERVICES INCLUDE:-PARTNERING WITH DEVELOPERS TO INCREASE THE STOCK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES BY SECURING COMMITMENTS OF DESIGNATED UNITS AT PARTNER PROPERTIES-CREATING AND MAINTAINING HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES IN SINGLE FAMILY HOMES FOR SHARED HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES KNOWN AS THE COOPERATIVE HOUSING MODEL-ASSISTING DEVELOPERS WITH FUNDING APPLICATIONS AS NEEDED-PREPARING MARKET DATA AND OTHER NEEDED INFORMATION-EDUCATING HOUSING GROUPS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ABOUT THE HOUSING NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES-ADVOCATING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HOUSING THAT IS AFFORDABLE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES-ASSISTING FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN FULFILLING THE DREAM OF HOMEOWNERSHIPHOUSING COORDINATION SERVICES INCLUDE:INDIVIDUAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (IHAP) - HOUSING CHOICES COALITION WORKS ONE-ON-ONE WITH PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO ENSURE THAT THEIR HOUSING NEEDS ARE MET. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE:-INTAKE AND ASSESSMENT-ASSISTANCE WITH ACCESSING SUBSIDIZED HOUSING WAITLISTS-LOCATING APPROPRIATE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING-ASSISTING WITH THE APPLICATION PROCESS-RESOLVING HOUSING RELATED ISSUES-SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE-ASSISTING WITH MOVE-IN AND RESIDENCYBERNINI SECURITY DEPOSIT LOAN FUND - AKA THE REVOLVING LOAN FUND PROVIDES SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE FOR RESIDENTS WHO HAVE TROUBLE AFFORDING THE INCREASINGLY HIGH COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MOVING INTO A NEW UNIT BY PROVIDING THE RESIDENTS WITH A 12 TO 18 MONTH ZERO PERCENT INTEREST LOAN TO COVER THEIR SECURITY DEPOSIT AND LAST MONTH'S RENT.BILL AKERS RESIDENT ASSISTANCE FUND - AKA THE AKERS FUND PROVIDES SMALL GRANTS (UP TO $200) TO ASSIST RESIDENTS MOVING INTO THEIR FIRST APARTMENT WITH ACQUIRING BASIC HOUSEHOLD NECESSITIES.RESIDENT COORDINATION SERVICES - PROVIDES SPECIALIZED HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES TO ENSURE THAT THE PEOPLE ARE SUCCESSFUL IN MAINTAINING HOUSING STABILITY. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS SPECIFIC HOUSING EXPERTISE TO ASSIST RESIDENTS, THEIR SERVICE PROVIDERS AND SERVICE COORDINATORS WITH HOUSING RELATED ISSUES. THE RESIDENT COORDINATOR PROVIDES A SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONTINUITY AND COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNICATION. THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS 150 RESIDENTS IN 12 DIFFERENT PARTNER PROPERTIES IN MAINTAINING THE STABILITY OF THEIR HOUSING.IN THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2013, THE AGENCY HELPED MORE THAN 1,000 PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WITH THEIR HOUSING NEEDS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTED 909 PEOPLE WITH HOUSING INFORMATION, ADVICE AND WAITLIST ASSISTANCE AND MOVED 76 PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES INTO QUALITY, AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED ONSITE SUPPORT AT 13 PARTNER PROPERTIES TO HELP 152 PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES MAINTAIN AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND MEDIATED DISPUTES WITH PROPERTY MANAGERS AND OTHER RESIDENTS TO PREVENT POTENTIAL EVICTIONS FOR OUR TENANTS. CURRENTLY MORE THAN 3,375 INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES HAVE REGISTERED WITH THE AGENCY TO FIND COMMUNITY INTEGRATED HOUSING.
