The mission of the lompoc district libraries foundation is to provide supplemental financial support not generally available from government sources to lompoc zone 2 libraries. This funding supports capital projects and enhanced reading materials and options.

THE LIBRARY FOUNDATIONS GRANT AWARDS THIS YEAR WERE: $2,050 TO BUELLTON, $1,650 TO CHARLOTTES WEB CHILDRENS LIBRARY, $4,600 TO LOMPOC, AND $5,750 TO VANDENBERG VILLAGE.THIS YEARS GRANT FUNDED TWO NEW DATABASES, PRONUNCIATOR AND LEARNINGEXPRESS LIBRARY, AND FICTION, NONFICTION AND AUDIO BOOKS. FUNDS FOR CHARLOTTES WEB WERE USED TO BUILD A DVD COLLECTION FOR THE NEW BOOKMOBILE PURCHASED WITH A GRANT LAST YEAR FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION.

EACH CONCERT DEMONSTRATED A DISTINCT STYLE OF AMERICAN MUSIC AND INTRODUCED MANY TO OUR COUNTRYS UNIQUE MUSIC HERITAGE. THIS YEAR WAS A BIT OF A MIX INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL EVENTS FROM LOCAL PERFORMERS SHOWCASING BLUEGRASS, BRAZILIAN JAZZ, & TERRITORIAL COUNTRY.THE COMBINED ATTENDANCE AT THE THREE CONCERTS TOTALED 341 PARTICIPANTS WITH 11 VOLUNTEERS SUPPORTING THE EVENTS.
