“Client Note 1 - STATEMENT 9STATEMENT REGARDING FACTS & CIRCUMSTANCES FOR 10% PUBLIC SUPPORTThe basic mission of Peninsula Outreach Programs is to raise funds to benefit existing Conductive Education Centers who work with children with motor skill disabilities, and to assist in the establishment of new centers, as well as expanding opportunities for the children such as summer camps and programs. We also directly assist low income families who are enrolled in special education programs for their disabled children, and have no other source of financial aid.In the recent economic climate, individual donations have been difficult to obtain. The fact that Peninsula Outreach has been able to continue its work is because of the ongoing support and dedication of the Southern wine and Spirits golf tournament organization, and their annual contribution. The Golf tournaments, in general are great exposure for the organization via local newspapers, magazines, web sites and the involvement of the sponsors and the employees of the sponsoring corporations. The Southern wine and Spirits event, which takes place at Silverado resort, reaches a wide spectrum of the public, who are exposed to our fliers, posters, press exposure and internet information. Each sponsor of the event, such as large wineries, have their own web sites about the event, and links to our web site. They involve their employees as players and volunteers. All of the involved parties receive letters and information packets regarding Conductive Education and the importance of our program. Our sponsored children who can, attend the event dinner and awards reception where they get to meet many of their sponsors.The executive board members, who are from a wide spectrum, continually network in their daily functions, work, church and social events, exposing new people to the importance of the education programs we are trying to support. We are constantly reaching out to other non-profits doing similar work, in order to increase our network, as well as to help those organizations grow.”
