WHEN THE NEWS IS BAD, THE INFLUENCE IS A NEGATIVE ONE ON CASH FLOW.IN RECENT TIMES, THE HOUSING/MORTGAGE CRISIS, NATURAL DISASTERS INCLUDING FIRES AND FLOODING, THE IMPACT OF THE WORLD ECONOMY ON THE U.S. ECONOMY (BREXIT, ETC.), SOCIAL ISSUES, AND EVEN THE CONTROVERSIAL U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION HAVE ALSO BEEN SIGNIFICANT FACTORS, WITH DOBERMAN PINSCHER RESCUE AT TIMES FINDING ITSELF THE RECIPIENT OF DOGS ORPHANED BY FAMILIES WHO HAVE LOST THEIR HOMES DUE TO A FAULTY MORTGAGE OR AS A RESULT OF NATURAL DISASTERS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY OR EVEN THE WORLD. THIS RESULTS IN AN IMMEDIATE INCREASE IN PROGRAM COSTS AND CASH OUTLAYS IN ORDER TO PROPERLY CARE FOR AND HOUSE THE DOGS. AT CERTAIN TIMES DURING THE YEAR, THE FLOW OF DONATIONS SLOWS OR DECREASES DUE TO GIVING PATTERNS. FOR EXAMPLE, IN THE EARLY PART OF THE YEAR, INDIVIDUALS GENERALLY DO NOT HAVE FUNDS TO DONATE DUE TO HOLIDAY SPENDING. AT YEAR END, HOWEVER, INDIVIDUALS MAY BE LOOKING TO BOOST A CHARITABLE DEDUCTION FOR TAX PURPOSES AND MAY THEREFORE INCREASE CHARITABLE GIVING. GIVING DURING THE REST OF THE YEAR IS VARIABLE AND IS DEPENDENT ON MANY DIFFERENT FACTORS.AT TIMES WHEN THE RECEIPT OF DONATIONS IS SLOW OR OPERATING EXPENSES ARE MORE SIGNIFICANT, THE ORGANIZATION RUNS OUT OF OPERATING CASH.
