Founded in 1989, the Silicon Valley Engineering Council is a non-profit educational 501 (c)(3) organization. Its purpose is to serve its member engineering and technical organizations in Silicon Valley and provide outreach to education and the community. GOALS: (1) increase public understanding of the impact of engineering and science in enhancing the quality of life. (2) Sponsor and promote engineering educational activities, programs and outreach. (3) Promote community service by the engineering and technical societies and their members. (4) Coordinate activities and assist communications among local engineering organizations. (5) Coordinate Engineers Week activities in the Silicon Valley. *NOTE TY20: no Engineers Week Banquet held due to health restrictions. Not able to develop sufficient income to support education awards this year.*

| 2025 Feb 18, Engineers Week banquet, recognized new Hall of Fame inductee-Dr. Laurence W. Nagel, renowned developer of integrated circuit simulation software. Awarded scholarships (7) and a Keeper of the Flame award to an educator. Held at the Delta Hotel by Marriott, Silicon Valley, with a catered dinner, and reception, Hall of Fame (96 inductees since 1990) displays, and networking room. About 180 people attended. The Keynote Speaker, Mark Seeger, founder of Glydways shared how to reinvent the concept of public transit using existing infrastructure, with the conviction that the world's biggest problems require infrastructural evolution on a much larger scale. This long-standing event is an opportunity for Silicon Valley engineering professional organizations to recognize its leaders and outstanding students and educators, along with celebrating national Engineers Week. | $0 | $18,896 |
| After the removal of the then President in a March 15, 2023 Board of Directors and SVEC Council Special Meeting, the removed officer took adversarial steps to restrict access to our organization accounts. Subsequently, the remaining Board of Directors had to obtain a different domain, website, email addresses, and lost access to many organization accounts. We did regain bank accounts. As of this filing, we have regained the original organization website after pursuing civil litigation and obtaining a Declaration from the California Santa Clara County Superior Court; legal fees, while discounted, were substantial. In addition, SVEC copyrighted its logo and trademarked its name. In March 2023, we asked the Santa Clara County District Attorney to hold this person criminally liable and that investigation is ongoing. We continue to report and eliminate website variants that this shadow organization attempts and continue to build back the Silicon Valley Engineering Council reputation and credibility in the community. | $0 | $9,227 |
