Activity 2

The Center to End the Trafficking and Exploitation of Children (CETEC) leverages the tools inherent to C@R's mission to raise awareness of child trafficking by educating first line defenders on how to identify victims, increasing services for American child victims, decreasing the demand for trafficking, and strengthening anti-human trafficking policy. C@R authored The State of Human Trafficking in Texas to provide a comprehensive resource on the scope of the problem, services available and needed for victims, and the policies surrounding this issue. C@R is also spearheading a multi-county Safe House NOW Task Force to establish, in great collaboration, the first safe house for domestic victims of child trafficking in Texas.

Activity 3

C@R works with local districts and service providers to decrease the effects of food insecurity on children. Increased awareness and utilization of federally funded food programs, especially school breakfast programs provide hungry children with a reliable, nutritious meal every day. C@R draws attention to these issues through conferences, one-on-one trainings, and collaboration with groups who work to end hunger and improve food quality in low-income areas.
