Mission and Program Overview
Mission
Our mission is to make history "come alive" for people by means of programs in period costume, music, speeches, and research for the purpose of educating amercicans about their country, especially students and specially challenged persons through the internet and personal monitoring. We support educators, performers, counselors and organizations that provide these services.
Major Activities
- Activity 2
- Historical research: living history studies featured historical video programming about history on the worldwide web, including civil war, native americans, and ancient history and such as archaeology, religion and cultural studies. Also, dr. Phil arnold provided, at no charge, research service for students on historical issues. There were 900 persons served.
- Activity 3
- Cultural studies research and support: support provided to the community for education in cultural studies, especially that of the american people and their roots. Our focus here was on "grass roots" cultural events in an effort to celebrate the "peoples history" of the united states of america. Historical source, both print and film, in our library were made available to the general public at no cost for research of texas and early americans assistance in research provided to those in need of guidance. There were 25 persons served in this effort
