“There are no committees with the authority to act on behalf of the board.”
“Line 11b explanation - draft tax return provided to secretary who reviewed with board. Any comments or questions posed by board were addressed prior to filing of the tax return.”
“Board members are required to complete the conflict of interest statement yearly. The cfo and audit committee monitors compliance with the conflict of interest policy.”
“Compensation for the executive director is reviewed and determined by the board of directors. A comparison of similar non-profit organizations is done annually. When looking at other non-profit comparables we look at size of the organization, number of employees, salary compensation and benefits. The board verifies that the salary and benefits paid to the executive director are within the range of similar executive directors in this sector.”
“Available at organization's office upon request.”
“Consulting: program service expenses 715,366. Management and general expenses 9,259. Fundraising expenses 866. Total expenses 725,491.”
“The organization has adopted fasb asc topic 740 that clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in tax positions taken or expected to be taken on a tax return and provides that the tax effects from an uncertain tax position can be recognized in the financial statements only if, based on its merits, the position is more likely than not to be sustained on audit by the taxing authorities. Management believes that all tax positions taken to date are highly certain, and, accordingly, no accounting adjustment has been made to the financial statements.”
