B) FUEL - A PROJECT WHICH DEVELOPS LEADERSHIP FROM AMONG FAMILY MEMBERS AND LOVED ONES OF PEOPLE SERVING A SENTENCE OF LIFE WIHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE. THE GROUP WORKS WITH MENA AND WOMEN INSIDE HELPIN TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS FOR A POPULATION FOR WHOM THERE ARE FEW PROGRAMS. C) BRUSH OF KINDNESS - A COMMUNITY PROGRAM WHERE FORMERLY INCARCERATED MEN/WOMEN TRAINED IN HOME IMPROVEMENT SKILLS VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO HELP THE ELDERLY, INFIRM AND POOR FOLK IN THEIR COMMUNITY WHO LACK THE WHEREWITHAL TO MAKE NEEDED REPAIRS. Fair chance project runs four sub-projects, they are: a) life changers - a reentry program for formerly incarcerated men and women. B) fuel - a project which develops leadership from among family members and loved ones of people serving a sentence of life wihout the possibility of parole. The group works with mena and women inside helpin to develop programs for a population for whom there are few programs. C) brush of kindness - a community program where formerly incarcerated men/women trained in home improvement skills volunteer their time to help the elderly, infirm and poor folk in their community who lack the wherewithal to make needed repairs. D) legal clinics - we conduct 2 legal clinics a month where issues related to laws and the courts are topis of discussion, including expungements. We also make court appearances on behalf of folk who need the support and a level of experience which can aid in the outcome of the case.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

Cfasc - an organization dedicated to the end of solitary confinement. Monies are used to take families to see their loved ones from the la area to a prison on the oregon border. Symposiums are held yearly and there is a film project wherein fomerly incarcerated long-term solitary survivors, out of prison tell their stories as a way to educate the public on the cruelty of solitary confinement.
