Training christian youth camp leaders worldwide

International Ministries - sponsored & conducted events to train and equip indigenous leaders in their homeland who are engaged in reaching the upcoming generation through Christian youth camps worldwide. During 2016, approximately 10.5 million people were reached through summer camps worldwide. A Christian camp is the most effective means of reaching the most receptive hearts. Jan. 16, 2016: Board of Directors Meeting, GOG office in East Texas, full attendance. Dr. Bill Moore stepped off the board after this meeting. The other three members continue to serve. Feb. 2016: Texas Section Conference of Christian Camp & Conference Association (CCCA) Exec. Dir. DeGroat participated in the networking, relationship building, and strengthening. Brought our American partner with whom we work in China for a day at the event. Alaska Sectional Conference: Gillespie attended, networking, leadership. Feb. 2016: Christian Camp Leaders Conference, Moscow, Russia. Some 200 indigenous leaders and volunteers from all across the former USSR. Exec. Dir. DeGroat taught many hours of content, two additional from the USA taught; a key China committee member attended as well. True collaboration, student evaluations high.Mar. 2016: Multiple Christian Camp leadership training events in China. DeGroat and Gillespie participated. Attendance was high, we trained the indigenous instructors who will teach in 2017 conferences in the region.Apr. 2016: DeGroat attended the International Summit of Christian Camping International in Johannesburg, South Africa with delegates from more than 20 countries with Associations. Taught seminars.Apr. 2016: DeGroat and his son were the speakers at a Father/Son conference at Camp Penial in Marble Falls, Texas.May 2016: Brought in a consultant and met with the missions staff and key pastors from Grace Community Church, Tyler, TX regarding our joint ministry in India and some issues regarding indigenous team dynamics.June 2016: Global Outreach Group Board mid-year conference call. Sept. 2016: Met locally with a board member of Christian Camping International; he is also a camp director serving in Spain.Nov. 2016: DeGroat attended the annual conference of the USA-based Christian Camp & Conference Association in Nashville, TN. Met with a significant donor. Spring 2016: Staff member Gillespie attended the Alaska CCCA Section conference; networking, visible presence, promoting the ministry. Gillespie is also actively consulting on camp development in Sri Lanka and India. He is on the board of directors at Alaska Bible Collegebroad influence. Oct. 2016: 6th annual joint training conference for camping leaders in India. More than 50 participants from all across India. DeGroat and Gillespie taught, consulted. DeGroat serves on the Indian Christian Camping Association Advisory Committee. Dec. 2016: DeGroat attended the USA Christian Camp and Conference Association national conference in Nashville, TN. Networking and strategic meetings with our partners globally. DeGroat also voluntarily serves CCI/Worldwide as Pioneer on new frontiers globally. GOG process the support funding for many like-minded workers in camping throughout the world, enabling their ministries to excel in keeping with our purpose of Training Christian Youth Camp Leaders Worldwide. Those areas include: Latin America, Romania, Russia, Jamaica, India, and Africa. Bottom line: Were doing exactly what we say we do, and doing it with integrity.
