Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Camp eagle (the "camp") was incorporated on march 8, 1999 under the texas non-profit corporation act; organized exclusively for christian religious purposes, and more specifically the advancement of religion and operation of a christian church camp. Camp eagle has been blessed with one of the state's most beautiful venues, located on the crystal clear headwaters of the nueces river outside of kerrville, deep in the texas hill country. The camp utilizes this venue to fulfill its mission to "inspire christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and biblical truth". Consistent with this mission, camp eagle has served up to 15,600 students annually through various operations including a christian summer camp, as well as a year-round facility.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Headwaters is an adventure camp at camp eagle for individuals. Headwaters has a separate campus, program, and staff, yet shares much of the adventure that the rest of camp eagle enjoys. At headwaters our goal is life-change. No camper will leave the same as when they came. Every camper will have the chance to develop or deepen their adventure skills, develop new or deepen old relationships and develop a faith in christ or deepen their existing faith. Boys and girls ages 8-16 can attend. There are three specialties within headwaters designed specifically for each child. The cliffside track is for kids who want to develop or deepen their climbing and cliffside skills. The mountainside track is for kids who want to develop or deepen their mountain biking and alpine sport skills. The wildside track is for kids who want to develop or deepen their shooting and outdoor skills.
Activity 3
Camp eagle's retreats program runs throughout the non-summer months and hosts a variety of guests. The program serves youth groups, men's and women's groups, college groups, and many more. The program is fully customizable, providing full programming or supporting the group's own programming. Camp eagle staff strives to develop relationships and create experiences that lead guests into deeper or first-time relationships with jesus christ. The program hosted approximately 4,000 guests during 2010-2011. The program utilizes camp eagle's unique outdoor adventure activities; including cliff-side ropes course elements, rock climbing, rappelling, zip lining, waterfront, and much more.
