“The Executive Committee shall have and may exercise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all the rights, powers and authority of the Board of Trustees in conducting the affairs of the Corporation; provided, however, that all actions of the Executive Committee must be reported to and ratified by the Board of Directors no less frequently than annually. During 2015 the Executive Committee consisted of the President, Chairman, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and one Trustee (Mary McReynolds).”

“Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA Firm and reviewed in detail by the organization's top management. The reviewed Form 990 is then forwarded to the Board of Directors prior to filing with the IRS.”

“Balance represents funds received by American Anglican Council for the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), which is a non-affiliated entity. Accordingly, such funds have been recorded as an agency liability.”

“The financial statement effects of a tax position taken or expected to be taken are recognized in the financial statements when it is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, that the position will be sustained upon examination. Interest and penalties, if any, are included in expenses in the statements of activities. As of December 31, 2015 and 2014, AAC had no uncertain tax positions that qualify for recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. The organization files information tax returns in the U.S. and various states. The Organization is generally no longer subject to U.S. federal and state income tax examinations by tax authorities for years before 2012.”
