Mission

Freedom house is a crisis intervention center for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and victims of crime. The organization provides temporary shelter to women and their children who are victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Form 990 is provided to the board of directors at the next scheduled board meeting following the completion of the tax return. Also, the audit report is presented at the same time. The electronic file signature is then signed and submitted to the preparer to authorize transmission of the return.

Conflict of interest policy are in the by-laws of the board and in the personnel mannual. When considering membership in the board, conflict of interest is discussed prior to voting. On an annual basis, board members review and consider activities that may pose a conflict of interest. This is also done to the staff members during their annual review.

A PREVENTION PROGRAM HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED. COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND VOLUNTEER TRAINING IS PROVIDED. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 489 NEW INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE OUTREACH OFFICE. ANY VICTIM, EITHER PAST OR PRESENT AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ASSISTANCE.
