“Jabberwock is an activity distinctive to delta sigma theta sorority, inc. The first jabberwock was presented in 1925 in boston, massachusetts by members of the iota chapter. Dodd educational and support, inc., the nonprofit arm of the dallas alumnae chapter of delta sigma theta sorority, inc. Uses jabberwock to raise funds for themselves. Each participant is awarded a percentage of the funds she raises. Ms. Jabbrwock receives 70% and all other participants receive 60%. In addition, the participant who is crowned mis distinguished scholar teen (miss dst)receives an additional $1,000. All jabberwock profits are restricted for that purpose only and are used to award frederica chase dodd scholarships.”
