Mission

Medisend international is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, humanitarian organization that supports under resourced healthcare systems in developing countries. Medisend's mission includes education, training, technical support and management technologies in biomedical equipment repair, as well as the distribution of life-saving medical supplies and biomedical equipment. The key to medisend's success lies in its long-term approach to sustainability, capacity building, and transformational impact on the healthcare system and the communities they serve.

Medisend college of biomedical engineering technology is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission includes high quality, intensive education and training of us military veterans and select individuals from developing countries, as well as the humanitarian distribution of life-saving medical supplies and biomedical equipment to under resourced hospitals in developing countries.

DURING 2017, MEDISEND TRANSITIONED TO A SCHOOL DESCRIBED IN SECTION 170(B)(1)(A)(II). SEE A DESCRIPTION OF EVENTS BELOW. EFFECTIVE MARCH 31, 2014, THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED ITS CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL FROM THE TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION AS A RECOGNIZED CAREER SCHOOL AND COLLEGE FOR ITS BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM. IN SEPT 2016, THE ORGANIZATION APPLIED TO THE TEXAS HIGHER EDUCATIONAL COORDINATING BOARD (THECB) FOR CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY TO BE AN INSTITUTE OF HIGHER LEARNING (COLLEGE) AND TO AWARD AN ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY. IN OCTOBER 2016, THE ORGANIZATION FORMED A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY, MEDISEND BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL, LLC, NOW KNOWN AS THE COLLEGE, AND IN APRIL 2017, THE COLLEGE RECEIVED UNANIMOUS APPROVAL AND RECOMMENDATION FOR THE DESIGNATION AND DEGREE BY THE THECB ADVISORY COUNCIL. IN AUGUST 2017, THE COLLEGE RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM THE US VETERANS ADMINISTRATION FOR POST 9/11 EDUCATION FUNDING AND FOR THE YELLOW RIBBON MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM. THE TWO GOVERNMENT FUNDING PROGRAMS ASSURE THE COLLEGE'S 70% FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ITS BMET AND ASSOCIATED DEGREE PROGRAMS FOR US MILITARY VETERANS ENROLLED IN THE COLLEGE. IN 2019, MEDISEND COLLEGE, LLC, A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF MEDISEND INTERNATIONAL MERGED INTO MEDISEND INTERNATIONAL LEAVING IT AS THE SOLE SURVIVOR. AS A RESULT, MEDISEND INTERNATIONAL CHANGED ITS NAME TO "MEDISEND COLLEGE OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY". MEDISEND COLLEGE OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY IS PROVIDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO VETERANS AND SELECT INDIVIDUALS FOR PROFESSIONAL CAREERS AS FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS AND BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS. MEDISEND TRANSITIONED TO ONLY ONE PROGRAM. THE GENERAL RICHARD B. MYERS VETERANS PROGRAM PROVIDES HIGH-QUALITY, INTENSIVE EDUCATION AND TRAINING AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR US VETERANS TO ELEVATE THEIR LIVES AND ACHIEVE FINANCIAL SECURITY AS WELL AS MEANINGFUL SERVICE. IN ADDITION, MEDISEND COLLEGE OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS TO SELECT INDIVIDUALS FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. THEY RETURN TO THEIR HOMES TO TRAIN OTHERS IN THEIR SPECIALTY AND TO IMPROVE THE OVERALL HEALTH CARE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
