MISSION & PURPOSEIn recent years, there has been a sharp increase in the number of homeless families with children.The number of homeless families with children has increased 36 percent since 2010 as reported by the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance. On any given night in Dallas County alone, more than 1,100 children fall asleep in homeless and domestic violence shelters. Of the homeless children, 67 percent are under the age of nine and 29 percent are infants and toddlers under the age of three years. In 2012, 42 percent of the service agencies surveyed reported that they had to turn away homeless children because they were operating in capacity.Since 1989, Hope Supply Co. has been dedicated to helping homeless children with time, money, and in-kind donations. We are the only agency that actively solicits donations and funds for the sole purpose of providing critically needed items to homeless children, from birth to age 17.
