“Form 990ez part iii - primary exempt purpose to advance the profession of structural engineering, to assist the public in obtaining dependable structural engineering services, to encourage engineering education, to maintain the honor and dignity of the profession, to enlighten the public respecting the province of the structural engineer, to cooperate with other professional organizations, to cultivate social contact within its membership and to discourage unethical and detrimental practice. Form 99ez, part iii, line 28members attend organization meetings which cover topics of educational and professional interest. The organization conducts initiatives that promote and enhance the public safety. In addition, the purposes of the organization are accomplished through continuing education, technology for advancement of building code provisions, strengthening registration requirements and enhancing public awareness of the services provided by the members.”
