Learning: Dallas Contemporarys learning programs serve youth and adult audiences and consist of Art Think, Taking It to the Streets, Chit Chats, the Renaissance Programme and the Embassy Program. These programs served more than 12,000 participants in 2011.Art Think is the outreach art education program that allows students to examine and share observations on art, while laying a foundation for appreciation of the visual arts. There are seven total sessions; six being in students classrooms, and the seventh as on-site visit to Dallas Contemporary.Taking it to the Streets is summer programming that educates the public about contemporary art and artists as well as outreach to young audiences. Chit Chats engage learning through the art of conversation. They increase dialogue, encourage debate and stimulate exchange in visual art and culture. We actively encourage the development of critical perspectives as well as engage with issues that affect contemporary culture. The Embassy Program provides real world sessions for artists, collectors and educators. These workshops provide a structured opportunity to explore specific topics and to translate them into strategies to help advance their careers, collections and classrooms.
