“Cash-Basis Event Timing Statement: Bird Endowment conducted a fundraising event at the Houston Zoo in January 2026. Certain related revenues and expenses were received or paid in 2025 and are reported on this return in accordance with the organization's cash method of accounting.”

“During the year, Bird Endowment made programmatic grants in support of its charitable mission to conserve the critically endangered Blue-throated Macaw and its habitat in Bolivia. Grants were made to Asociación Armonía (Bolivia) to support field-based conservation activities at the Laney Rickman Blue-throated Macaw Reserve, including nest box installation and monitoring, habitat restoration, field staff support, and related conservation program expenses. A grant was also made to Conservation Confluence, a U.S. nonprofit organization that provides operational support services to conservation NGOs in South America, including Asociación Armonía. Certain funds were disbursed directly to authorized staff of Asociación Armonía for project-related expenses. Such disbursements were made in furtherance of the organization's charitable purposes and are treated as grants supporting our conservation activities in Bolivia. Bird Endowment maintains frequent and ongoing communication with its Armonía staff partners and receives financial and programmatic updates to ensure funds are used in accordance with their intended charitable purposes.”

“Other expenses reported on Part I, Line 16 consist of ordinary and necessary operating costs incurred in furtherance of the organization's charitable activities. These expenses include donor appreciation events, bank and merchant processing fees, conference and outreach booth fees, marketing and educational materials, membership dues, office supplies, and software and technology services used to administer programs and fundraising activities.”

“Foreign Activities Disclosure Since 990-EZ does not include Schedule F, here is a brief disclosure: Bird Endowment granted funds for conservation activities outside the United States through its partnership with Asociación Armonía in Bolivia. The organization maintains frequent and ongoing communication with its Armonía staff conservation partners and receives financial and programmatic updates to ensure funds are used in accordance with their intended charitable purposes.”
