Mission

Causa community development, inc., an arizona not-for-profit corporation, was organized to construct, own, and operate a 60 unit apartment community in guadalupe, arizona, known as guadalupe barrio nuevo apartments. The project operates under section 223(a)(7) of the national housing act as amended. The corporation has entered into the standard fha regulatory agreement governing the operation of the project with the federal housing administration section of hud. Causa community development, inc. Has also entered into a housing assistance payments contract.

Causa community development, inc. Is managed by tiempo, inc., a professional property management company. Tiempo, inc. Has a project owner's and managements agent's certification for multifamily housing projects with the u.s. Department of housing & urban development. Under this certification, hud has approved tiempo, inc. To manage the causa community development, inc. Apartment community. The management contract encompasses the day to day operations of the project including, but not limited to, collection of rents, maintenance of facilities, supervision of staff, and ongoing support for both the owners and tenants as needed in order to establish a safe, sanitary and affordable environment.

Notwithstanding any term, condition, or provision of the articles of incorporation to the contrary, so long as a mortgage or deed of trust upon the corporation's property is insured or held by the secretary of housing and urban development to secure repayment of the insured loan under section 221(d)(3) of the national housing act of 1934, as amended, the corporation, without prior written consent and approval of said secretary, shall not engage in any other business or activity, including the operation of any other rental project, nor incur any liability or obligation not in connection with the housing project which is the subject of the insured 221(d)(3) loan from said secretary being assumed by the corporation.
