“The membership of the pto shall consist of parents or legal guardians of each child enrolled at the school, the school's teachers, and the school's administrators. Elected officers: the elected officers of the pto shall be president, president-elect, treasure, corresponding secretary, recording secretary and parliamentarian all elected officers shall be elected at an annual pto meeting in april. Voting shall be by voice, unless five members present request a secret (written) ballot. A simple majority of the members present shall be required to elect. The board of directors shall consist of the elected officers, the immediate past president, standing committee chairpersons, the principal of the school, the magnet coordinator, and two teacher advisors who shall be elected by the faculty at the beginning of the school year, one from grades k thru 2nd and one from grades 3 through 5. The board shall vote on all matters in these by-laws which are subject to vote by board members; and have the authority to enter into contracts on behalf of the pto. Oran roberts elementary school pto has its form 990 available for public inspection upon request. The pto exists as an unincorporated association of its voluntary members. Its "articles of organization" shall comprise these by-laws, as from time- to-time may be amended and its articles of organization, if any. In the absence of any separate article of organization, these by-laws shall be deemed to be the articles of organization. In the event of any conflict between these by-laws and the articles of organization, these by-laws shall govern. A copy of the current by-laws shall be in all elected officers and standing committee chairpersons notebooks and shall be published annually in the school directory. The tresurer will submit a financial report at every pto meeting”
