“San Antonio RoadRunners is a community of runners who gather for racing and/or training opportunities throughout the year. Some events are free event as a benefit of their paid membership. Some events are discounted events as a benefit of the paid membership.”

“Each year at a meeting specifically called for that purpose, several members of the Executive Board of San Antonio RoadRunners stand for election or re-election by the membership. In even years the Executive Vice President, Secretary, the Treasurer, and the Director of Training are elected for a two-year term. In odd years, the President, the Vice President of Membership, and the Director of Racing are elected for a two-year term.”

“Any changes to the bylaws of the organization is subject to the approval of the general membership of San Antonio RoadRunners. Changes to annual dues is also subject to approval by the general membership.”

“The Finance Committee does not keep contemporaneous notes at this time.”

“The Treasurer distributes an electronic copy of the completed draft copy of Form 990 to all members of the Executive Board as well as to the members of the Finance Committee for review and comment. The Treasurer will address any questions or concerns and amend Form 990 is necessary. If there are no questions or emendations within ten days, the Treasurer will file Form 990 with the IRS.”

“The Executive Board is aware of most of the activities and outside interests of the other members of the Executive Board. When an individual member of the Executive Board's activities conflict with the interests of San Antonio RoadRunners, the President addresses this concern with the Board Members with the perceived conflict. If the conflict cannot be resolved, the Board Member is asked to resign his/her position.”

“Because of Covid19 San Antonio conducted the majority of its activities virtually. Races were virtual: run by competitors at the time of the runners' choosing without timing. FunRuns were suspended. CPR/AED class certifications were provisional. Training group runs were adjusted so that several small groups gathered in different localities so that the trainees could social distance during their training.”
